Glenn Paul Halstead, P.E., 64, of Pensacola, FL passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

Born on March 22, 1961, in Frankfurt, Germany to John and Gertrude Shappy Halstead. Glenn was a licensed Professional Engineer and an alumnus of Auburn University. He was a respected civil engineer and business leader in Pensacola, FL. Glenn served as President of Jehle-Halstead, Inc. (JHI), a prominent engineering and surveying firm in the region. Under his leadership, JHI was acquired by McKim & Creed, Inc., a national engineering firm, where he continued to contribute his expertise as a Regional Manager.

His dedication to his profession and community left a lasting impact on those who worked with him and the projects he oversaw.

He is remembered for his commitment to excellence, mentorship, and the positive influence he had on everyone around him.

Glenn enjoyed boating, fishing, being a member of and volunteering with organizations like the Elks Lodge, Fiesta Pensacola (Crawfish and Seafood Festivals), The Order of Tristan, and most importantly…being a G-Dad Extraordinaire.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, John and Gertrude Shappy Halstead.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sharon Skinner Halstead; daughters, Blair Dixon (Cody), Jacquelynn Metcalf, and Grier Ward; as well as his five adored grandchildren, Emerson Dixon, Charlie Metcalf, Davis Ward, Hattie Metcalf, and Cora Dixon; as well as his eight siblings, Lillian Halstead Barfield (Don), Bonnie Halstead Holley (Ferris), Gary Halstead (Kipp), Debbie Curran (Dick), Jeff Halstead (Shazelle), Jimmy Halstead (Pam), Robert Halstead (Tanya),and Donnie Halstead (Cathy).

A Memorial Visitation will be held 2:00pm - 4:00pm Friday, May 23, 2025, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
