She went on to spend 45 years in Operating Room nursing at both Sacred Heart and Baptist Hospitals where she retired as an OR Supervisor. Even after retirement she continued her love of nursing in Juneau, Alaska, in Bartlett Regional Hospital's OR.
Gloria is survived by her children, Paula Cary Ponto (Mike), Allison Cary Hannah (Rob) and Scott Collins (Katy); Grandchildren, Blaine and Jake Ponto, Turner and Wiley Collins.
Our sincere thanks to everyone at Wesley Haven Villa who made Gloria's time there not only "home" but became extended family members to her and us as well. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Myesha and Josh with Gentiva Hospice for the support, assistance and loving care they gave Gloria and our family.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Memorial Donations may be made to Wesley Haven Villa, 111 E. Wright St., Pensacola, FL 32501.
