Gloria Farrell Wells went to her heavenly address on Sunday morning, November 1, 2026.

She was born on July 30, 1931 in Nashville, TN to Richard Ashley Farrell and Vivian Hudson Farrell and is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William D. Wells; her daughter, Deana Lynn Powers, and her brother, Richard Talmadge Farrell.

She is survived by another brother, James Robert Farrell (Linda); nieces, Merri Edelmon (Johnny) and Lisa Morse; her nephew, Richard Talmadge Farrell, Jr. (Beverly) and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews, Nashville area cousins and friends.

Gloria graduated from Treadwell High School (1939) and eventually retired from her Executive Secretary position at Tennessee Technical College in 1996. She was a member of Ellendale Baptist Church for decades and strong in her faith. She was an avid reader and her life bloomed when she married Bill as they traveled and engaged with their friends and family.

From Bartlett, TN she moved to Pensacola, FL in 2024 with her surviving brother and his wife after a medical event prevented living on her own any longer. She passed away peacefully with family beside her.

Visitation is planned at Memphis Funeral Home on Germantown Parkway on Sunday afternoon, November 8, 2026 with burial at Memphis Memory Gardens on Monday afternoon, November 9, 2026.
