Gordon Harry Humbert 86, of Pensacola, FL., passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2025.
Gordon was born on August 15, 1938, in Philadelphia, PA. He grew up in Miami, FL and graduated from North Miami High School in 1957. He worked for Western Electric and AT&T as an installer of telecommunications equipment and instructor at the national training center in Dublin, OH. He married Peggy Humbert on March 8, 1975 and they just celebrated their golden anniversary. They lived in Miami, FL, Columbus, OH, Navarre, FL, Keystone Heights, FL, and Pensacola, FL.
He loved the Blue Angels, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Miami Dolphins. He had an extensive model train collection and is a member of the West Florida Railroad Museum.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Humbert and Ruth Yeager and two sisters, Elizabeth McCluskey and Jean Masters.
Gordon is survived by his five children, Douglas, Dennis, Charlotte, Gordie, and Dave; fourteen grandchildren, Jessica, Sarah, Steffen, Dana, Emily, Bailey, Morgan, Jena, Jillian, Lindsay, Jeremy, Julian, Diana, and Danielle and he has fourteen great children.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
