Gordon MacKenzie, age 89, passed away peacefully during the night of June 20 ^th , 2019.  Born August 16 ^th 1929, Gordon was a native of Pensacola and a graduate of Pensacola High School.  He moved on to the University of Florida in Gainesville and graduated with a business degree.  Immediately after graduation, he served in the Army and was assigned to combat duty during the Korean War.  Following his honorable discharge from the military, Gordon had a successful business career that spanned decades with Monsanto and Wolverine Worldwide.   Gordon was, is and always will be a loyal Gator fan.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 62 years, Edna Lucille Long MacKenzie, of Daniel Island, SC, his son James Gordon MacKenzie of Spanish Fort, AL and his wife, Gwen, and daughter Lucie MacKenzie Neely of Daniel Island, SC and her husband Tom.  Gordon was also the proud grandfather of three granddaughters, Asia, Lydia and Lucie MacKenzie.

A graveside service will begin at 2:00pm, Sunday, June 23, 2019 at St. John's Cemetery, 301 N. G St., Pensacola, FL 32501. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The First Presbyterian Church of Gulf Breeze, Florida or The Rotary Club of Gulf Breeze, Florida.
