Gwendolyn V. Hester, 75, of Pensacola and Escambia County, FL passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013. She was born on September 3, 1937 in Chicago, IL. Gwendolyn was preceded in death by; Irwin Meyer (brother), Jerry Meyer (brother), Gladis Lake (sister) and Dorothy Lake (niece). She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Hester; daughter, Teresa and husband Hans Mayer; granddaughter, Angie and husband Chris White, great granddaughter, Malia White, granddaughter, Heather Gaudet; son, Reid Hester; daughter, Tammy Hester; grandson's, Michael Dooley and Jeremy Hester; daughter, Carol and husband Daniel R. Williams. Visitation will be held from 10:30am Wednesday, July 31, 2013 with a Funeral service beginning at 11:30am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Cortege will depart at 12noon to Barrancas National Cemetery for committal services at 12:30pm. Active pallbearers will be Reid Hester (son), Jeremy Hester (grandson), Daniel R. Williams (son-in-law) and Matthew Linnivlle (son). Honorary pallbearers will be Hans Mayer (son-in-law) and Chris White (grandson-in-law).
