H. Paula Heath, 92, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. She will be greatly missed by her family. On January 24, 1921, Paula was born in Washington, DC where her parents worked for the Federal Government. As a young woman she loved sports dancing and acting. She began her travels working for the FBI in San Juan, Puerto Rico and later visited Europe, China and Africa. Paula earned her living as an executive secretary but later her love was writing mystery novels. She volunteered at NOW, the Sheriff's Department, Meals on Wheels and the Library. She also taught English as a second language in her previous residence in Palm Coast, FL. Paula is survived by her brother, Charles D. Heath and his children, Debbie Hartsell (John), Theresa Wheeler, Mark Smith, Barbara Heath and their families. She is also survived by her daughter, Patricia Kutilek; granddaughter, Buffy Kempton (Shawn); great-grandchildren, Zachary and Jordan. Locally she leaves behind her daughter, Sheila Wilcox (Bob); grandson, Jason Sahli; great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Sahli. In North Carolina, she leaves her granddaughter, Christine Helms; great-grandsons, Eli, Ben and Gabriel. Also in Pensacola is a granddaughter, Kim Drummond (Jason); great-grandsons, Josiah, Logan and Robbie. Private viewing will be held by the family followed by a Mass at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Memorial donations in memory of Paula Heath may be made to Covenant House for Homeless Youth.
