Harold Wally Walters Sr., 77, of Pensacola, died Sunday, Oct.5, 2008 at a local hospital. He was born October 1, 1931 in Detroit, MI., to William J. (Harold) and Matilda (Lidner) Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents, and first wife Marlene who died in 1980. Mr. Walters previously lived in Fairview Hts, ILL. He was a truck driver for 35 years. He worked in St. Louis and drove mostly in the city. He also drove on the road. He was a member of Teamsters Local 600 in St. Louis. He retired from his job in 1986. After his retirement he moved to Pensacola. After moving to Pensacola he went to work for Professional Pest Control Products until 2002. He enjoyed fishing and just getting out in his boat. His favorite pastime was his computer. He loved to rebuild old computers. Wally is survived by his wife, Eileen; his son, Bill (Jerry) Walters of Pensacola; his grandson Justin (Lauren) of Norwalk, CT.; step daughter, Kimberly (Gerald) Thompson; step son Richard (Maria) Sutton; Five step grandchildren, Nicky, Kyle, Charlotte, Chris and Kymberlee all of Granite City, Illinois. He is also survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother; Norma Martin of El Dorado Kansas, Betty (Glen) Kyle of Burns, Kansas, Dorothy (Norbert) Kaiser and Ed Allen of Detroit, MI. He is also survived by 2 brother-in laws; Donald (Marcella) Rowold of Granite City, ILL and Kenneth (Virginia) Rowold of Chester, ILL and his 2 special cats; Sammie and Cricket. Memorial services will be held at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 10am. The family will receive visitors starting at 9am.
