Harry Gorman,
Jr.
March 21, 1930 – February 21, 2017
Harry "Bill" Gorman, Jr., 86, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.
Bill retired in 1986 from NARF, where he worked as a sheet metal leader. He enjoyed each and every day of his 31 years of retirement. Dad's house was the center of family gatherings, lots of horse shoes, plenty of fresh mullet and always laughter. Dad was a true friend to all who knew him and a Good Man.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Irene and his wife of 10 years, Geraldine; his daughter, Diana Marie Nobles; a brother, Charles; and sisters, Virginia and Jean.
He is survived by his children, Linda Gorman, Dewayne Gorman (Rebecca) of Pensacola and Patricia Hockenberry (Jim) of Two Rivers, Alaska; a brother-in-law, John T. Valentine of Plant City, FL; step-daughters, Charlene Schultheis, Kathy Yochum, Ann Suarez and Shorty Varnell of Pensacola; as well as 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 1-3pm Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart with Fr. Dustin Feddon celebrant. Private Family Committal will be held at a later date at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
Our family would like to thank Covenant Care doctors, nurses and staff for their care of our dad. Special thanks to doctors Frank Messina, Frank Greskovich, James Watkins and Jung Gorton for their care and kindness for dad.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Covenant Care of Pensacola or Sacred Heart Children's Hospital.
