Mrs. Helen Catherine Davis, age 90, of Pensacola passed away peacefully at Arcadia Health and Rehab Thursday, September 25, 2014 surrounded by her family. Helen was born on January 18, 1924 in Shakopee, MN, the tenth of sixteen children to Leo and Lena Siebenaler. Married in her 30s, she and her husband lived in several states in the north and east before settling down to Pensacola in 1966 with their 4 children. She was a charter member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, and helped to establish their school lunch program and was a past president and long-time member of the Women's Society. As her kids grew up she worked as an administrative assistant. She loved reading and sewing and was actively involved with her children and grandchildren's lives. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, James Lawlor Davis. She is survived by children, Michael Davis and wife Patricia of Renton, WA; grandchildren, Alex and wife Bianca, and Ian; Harold Davis and wife, Susie of Pensacola; grandchildren, Braden, Kyle, Katelyn, Samantha and Sidney; Martha DeFord and husband, Chris of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Jake and wife Abbi Connor and Paige; Amy Morton and husband, Jeff of Pensacola; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Megan. She is also survived by 7 of her brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held at 10:00am Monday, September 29, 2014 with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00am at St. Paul Catholic Church with a reception to follow.
