Helen Harper McDiarmid Rambo, 95, of Pensacola, FL passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020.
She was born on May 30, 1925 to George F. and Helen B. Harper. Helen moved to Pensacola in 1959 and joined McIlwain Memorial Presbyterian Church where she was an active member for a number of years until her health declined and prevented her from doing what she enjoyed. Helen's legacy will never be forgotten as "the best mother", she was never wavering in her support and her love for her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, W.V. "Dub" Rambo; her son, Sam McDiarmid; two stepdaughters; as well as two brothers, Larry and Bill Harper.
Survivors include her daughter, Kay LaMotte; very special son-in-law, John LaMotte; 6 grandchildren, Sam, Derek, David, Tara, Robbie, and Rhonda; a stepdaughter, Chris Farlow (Jim); numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to current circumstances, private interment will be at Bayview Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Council on Aging of West FL, 875 Royce St., Pensacola, FL 32503.
