Henry F. Baggett, 84, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016. Henry was a lifelong resident of Pensacola, and a charter member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. He was a graduate of Pensacola High School and Florida State University.
Henry proudly served his country during the Korean War era as the crew-chief of a B-45 bomber. His squadron was the 85th Bomb Squadron (L) jet, which was one of the first bombing squadrons to carry the atomic bomb. He was stationed at Sculthorpe RAF Station, England.
Henry was preceded in death by his son, Henry F. Baggett, III; his mother and father, Audrey (Brazwell) and William P. Nell; a sister, Diane B. Blanton and his wife of 55 years, Patricia Ferebee Baggett.
"He is survived by children, grandchildren, family and friends with whom he is particularly pleased and thankful for."
Henry was known for his warm smile, kind spirit and grace filled life. He has placed a lasting touch on the lives of not only his family, but on everyone he has ever met. He was the epitome of a true southern gentleman and servant leader.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, August 22, 2016 at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. A reception will follow in the reception hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Christopher's Episcopal Church Outreach Program, 3200 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32503.
