Henry Herbert (Herb) Seely, a resident of Pensacola, was born on July 25, 1936 and passed away after a lengthy illness on December 8, 2014 at the age of 78. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of West Florida and his Master's Degree from Troy State University. Captain Seely retired from the Pensacola Police Department in 1995 and he served the members of Pensacola Government Federal Credit Union on various committees and as a member of the Board of Directors for the past 30 years. Herb's family will always remember his love and his sharing of his love for camping and fishing. Herb is preceded in death by his father, Henry Seely, mother, Vernice Seely and brother, Richard Seely. Beloved husband to Donna of Pensacola; father to Laura (Dave) Seyler of Lebanon, OR, Kathy (Jay) Stuart of Gaithersburg, MD and Melinda (Rich) Scott) of Silver Spring, MD and grandfather to Robert Jones, Henry Jones, Alexander Jones, Michael Stuart, Jon Stuart, Julia Stuart, Ryan Scott, Jason Scott, and Eric Scott; and great-granddaughter Sophia Jones. He is also survived by his sister, Ilene Rushing of Pensacola and his brother, Vincent Seely (Karen) of Birmingham AL; nephews, Vincent Seely, Jr., Rick Seely, Kevin Seely, Andy Rushing, Bob Hendren and niece, Ginny Powell. A Memorial Service will be held for Herb at 10:30am on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 5725 N. 9th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32504.
