Henry L. Homer, Jr., 75, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020.
Mr. Homer was born in Pensacola, Florida on August 8, 1944 to Bessie and Henry L. Homer, Sr. He attended local schools and college and served in the U.S. Army and is retired from the U.S. Army Reserve. Mr. Homer retired after being employed by Pensacola Naval Air Station for over 20 years. He loved sports, especially football. Throughout his adulthood, he attended high school football games every Friday night. He coached t-ball and soccer for his son first grade through fourth grade. He was a dedicated family man, a loving husband and father.
Mr. Homer is preceded in death by his father, Henry L. Homer, Sr.; mother, Bessie Homer and sister, Phoebe Mayne.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mollie V. Homer; son, Robert Aaron Homer, his wife, Lastenia, and their children, Christopher and Steven; niece/daughter, Tammy Reddy; siblings, Sally Worton, Blanche Boswell, Sandra Sexton and Michael Homer along with many other family members.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 26, 2020 from 12:00 pm until the funeral service begins at 1:00 pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with K.P. Reddy officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
Active Pallbearers will be: Aaron Homer, Michael Homer, Stephen Mayne and K.P. Reddy.
