Hilary M. Brochu, 82, passed away peacefully from this life into the arms of Jesus on Monday, March 9, 2015. She was born on March 15, 1932 in New Orleans, LA to the late Leo F. and Josephine Webb. In 1950, she married the late Arthur W. Brochu and as an Army wife, she called many places home before settling in Pensacola in 1970. She is also preceded in death by her eldest son, William "Willie" Brochu and son-in-law, Raymond Broxson. Hilary was a devout follower of Jesus Christ and the Roman Catholic faith, serving many church groups in various capacities wherever she lived. She was a long-time parishioner of the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. She embodied the love of Jesus in all that she did, leaving behind an enduring legacy of faith. Mrs. Brochu's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife and mother of five. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Broxson and daughter-in-law, Cindy Brochu Cornelison both of Pensacola; son, Alan (Anne) Brochu of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter, Susan (Bret) Chipman of Huntsville, AL and son, Steven Brochu of Atlanta, GA. In addition, she was the proud Maw-Maw of fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Edward (Mary) Webb of New Orleans, LA as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Hilary was truly a "Maw-Maw" to many, all of whom have been deeply impacted by her loving and generous spirit, and will never be the same without her presence in their lives. A Celebration of Maw-Maw's extraordinary life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Fr. George will be officiating as family gather for the Rosary in the Parish Hall at 9 a.m. Friends are welcome to visit at 10 a.m. with a Funeral Mass following at 11 a.m. Burial will be immediately afterwards at Bayview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be; Danny Broxson, Russell Broxson, Randy Brochu, Alan Brochu, II, Andrew Brochu, Joey Chipman and Jerry Venable.
