IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ida Vashti
"Ti" Lamb
April 27, 1924 – September 15, 2018
Named for the Biblical Queen, Vashti, Ida Vashti "Ti" Cole Lamb was born in Pensacola, Florida to John Firm and Mamie Mae Cole. Ti was reared in church and as a youth was a member of First Assembly of God of Pensacola. She was graduated from Pensacola High School in 1943 and continued her education in Montgomery, Alabama where she was graduated from St. Margaret's Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1949.
After being graduated, Ti joined her brother, John, in Los Angeles, California where she began her thirty five year nursing career. She served in several capacities ultimately retiring from Los Angeles County Department of Public Health where she managed a Methadone Clinic. Ti married Jesse Raymond Lamb in 1954.
After retirement Ti and Ray moved to Pensacola in 1986. Ti was active at First Baptist Church of Pensacola including volunteering at Samaritan Hands for many years. She was a member of the Reflectors Sunday School Class and Diggers Garden Club. Ti lived independently in remarkably good health until she suffered a stroke during a routine medical procedure at the age of ninety two. She has been lovingly cared for at home since that time.
Ti will be remembered for her beautiful smile. Even in her last years of adversity she kept her smile and sweet spirit. She will also be remembered for her kindness and generosity.
