Irene Holman Floyd Deuell, 77 of Seminole, Alabama passed to her heavenly home to be with Jesus on July 19, 2018 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Irene was born in Foley, Alabama to Walter Bernard and Erna Poser Holman on June 9, 1941. She grew up on the family farm in Foley Alabama and had lively times with her 8 sisters and 4 brothers. Irene graduated from Foley High School where she enjoyed her time in the band as a majorette. She was married to Terry Floyd in 1964, and they were blessed with two sons, Chris and Danny Floyd. Terry and Irene had a long and happy marriage of forty four years. She was a pastor's wife and help mate in the Lord's service for over 30 years. She also had a long and distinguished career as a civil service employee. She finished her career at the United States Pentagon as a GS-13 analyst. After Terry's death, she married William Deuell, and they enjoyed each other's company until his death in 2016. She lived her life to the fullest and was loved by all her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Bernard and Erna Holman, her husbands Terry Floyd and William Deuell, and her brothers Johnny and Walter Holman. Irene is survived by her sons Chris Floyd and his wife Amanda, and their children Kasey Workman, Jenna Floyd, and Brilee Floyd, and her son Danny Floyd and his wife Angelina, and their children Jacob and Tiffany Floyd, and Danielle Floyd, Brothers Jack Holman, George and Phyllis Holman, Sisters Rozella Day, Louise Toomey, Esther Williams, Lucille and George Thau, Joyce and Paul Beard, Leona and Frank Winters, Linda and Lester Dean, Wanda and Bob White, and many nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, Pensacola Florida Monday July 23, 2018 from 5-7. Funeral service scheduled at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel Tuesday July 24, 2018 at 12:30, with interment to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
