IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Isaiah Scott
Pires
March 4, 1980 – October 10, 2025
Isaiah Scott Pires, age 45, of Pace, FL, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025. Born in Salem, OR, on March 4, 1980, Isaiah spent the majority of his life in Pensacola, FL, where he made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Isaiah was home-schooled before attending East Hill Christian School, Pensacola Junior College, and the University of West Florida, where he pursued his passion for music as a music major. His love for the arts and his powerful voice brought joy to countless friends and family members, whether he was lighting up a karaoke stage or filling the room with the sound of his saxophone.
For 27 years, Isaiah was a dedicated employee of UPS, where he most recently served as the Delta Coast Health and Safety Manager. He took great pride in his work and was deeply respected by his colleagues for his leadership, kindness, and commitment to others.
Isaiah had a heart as big as his smile. He found peace and joy outdoors—fishing from a young age and later discovering a love for hunting. Yet above all, his greatest joy came from watching his sons excel in their sports. He was always the proudest in the stands, and now he will be cheering them on from the best seat in the house.
He is survived by his loving parents, Bob Pires (wife Stella Davis-Pires) and Gracelyn Pires; his beloved son, Nash Pires; his cherished stepson, Jaxson Messer; his sister, Jessica Ateca (husband Joe Ateca and nephew Nathanael); his stepsisters, Katherine Waters and Kristy Hopkins; and his girlfriend, Taylor Keithahn. He also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family members who will forever remember his laughter, warmth, and generosity.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Boulevard, Pensacola, FL 32504. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Bayview Memorial Park.
Active Pallbearers: Greg Walters, Larry Price, Anthony Yates, Dan Theis, Brent Ezzell, Randy Cumberland, and Drew Cumberland.
Honorary Pallbearers: Nash Pires, Jaxson Messer, Jacob Watson, Shannon McMillan, Mina Atzel, Sean Starratt, Mario Rosa, and all of his brothers of the Krewe of Andres De Pez.
Isaiah will be remembered for his deep faith in God, which was evident by the way he served others, music, his laughter, his generosity, and his boundless love for family and friends. His light will continue to shine through all those whose lives he touched.
