Ivalee Thompson, 70, of Pensacola, FL and formerly of Beaufort, SC passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Thompson was born on January 8, 1943 in Fairfax, SC. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Beaufort. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Ivalee was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus R. Thompson; her parents, Lillie Cook and Edgar Ruben Brunson; 3 brothers, William Edgar Brunson, Herman John Brunson and Frank Arthur Brunson; 3 sisters, Barbara Jean Stevens, Hattie Mae Gohagen and Betty Brunson. She is survived by her four children, Brenda L. Johnson (Kent), Robert R. Thompson, Linda R. Johnson (Mark) all of Pensacola, FL and Jack D. Thompson (Stephanie) of Whitwell, TN; her loving grandchildren, Dylan and Ryan Johnson, Brandon Bartle, Tyler Johnson, Jamie, Tony and Matthew Thompson, Roy and Eric Oria and Ivey Thompson; three sisters, Mary B. Williams, Sara Cook and Frances Crosby all of Fairfax, SC; one sister-in-law, Maxine Chassereau of Hampton, SC; one brother-in-law, Walter L. Thompson (Carolyn) of Islandton, SC and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 10:30am Monday, July 1, 2013 with Funeral services beginning at 11:30am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd. Pensacola, FL 32504. Private interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
