Iwider "Weda" Boyd Gentry Pophal, 81, of Prairieville, LA formerly of Pensacola, FL passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Weda was born on September 26, 1927 in Pensacola, FL. She worked for 17 years with Monsanto as a Lab Technician. Weda loved to camp and fish with family and friends. Weda is preceded in death by her parents, Lorraine and John "Johnny" Edward Boyd; two brothers, James "J.E." Edward Boyd and Lewis Boyd; three sisters, Olivia "Rip" Richins, Mary Perkins and Katherine "Kat" Kelly. Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Ronald "Ron" Pophal; three children, Johnny Gentry, Ricky Gentry (Angie) and Larry Gentry (Candy); also surviving and affectionately known by her grandchildren as "Granny" or "Maw Maw", Jason Gentry, Nick Gentry, Patricia Gentry, Tommy Gentry and Terri Gentry; also one brother, Robert "Bobby" T. Boyd (Glenda); and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5-7pm Monday, April 27, 2009 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Roberts Cemetery. HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
