Jack Hutton
Langston

Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Ave Marie Hall
Starts at 11:00 am (Central time)
With profound sadness and broken hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Jack Hutton Langston on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. He leaves behind a family and community who loved him beyond measure.
From a young age, Jack was filled with curiosity, adventure, and a heart larger than life. As a boy, he poured himself into Bill Bond Baseball, CYSL sports, and Pensacola Catholic High Crusader football. He excelled in school, earning numerous awards and accolades along the way. A lifelong Seminoles fan, he was overjoyed to be accepted to Florida State University. After spending three landlocked years in Tallahassee as a finance major, his love for Pensacola and Little Sabine Bay drew him home, where he enrolled at the University of West Florida and was looking forward to graduating later this year.
Jack had a mechanical mind and was blessed with gifted hands. He had a sense of wonder and was always eager to discover how things worked. He began taking things apart from a young age and took pride in fixing, building, and creating. Whether he was repairing his Jeep, tinkering with a boat engine, or puttering with projects, he brought patience, ingenuity, and determination to every task. His love of working with his hands was matched only by his love for the outdoors.
He had a deep appreciation for nature and a special love for animals and creatures of every kind, great and small. He found his greatest joy outdoors and loved waiting patiently with his father and brother at 35 North for a glimpse of a mature whitetail buck or sunny days spent on the water catching redfish and trout in Pensacola Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. For Jack there was no better feeling than the thrill of reeling in a monster red snapper. These were the moments where he felt most alive.
More than anything, Jack cherished time spent with family and friends. He had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His heart belonged to those he loved most—his beloved girlfriend, Grace Kelly; his best friend, David Smith; and his cherished furry companions, LuLu and Charlie.
He is survived by his parents, Joe and Leah Langston; brother, Sam Langston; maternal grandparents, Richard and Linda Fowler; paternal grandmother, Jeanette Barron; aunts, and uncles, Mark Busbia (Jane), Kierstan Greif (Michael), Jim Langston (Cathrine), John Langston (Shirley), Pam Rich (Marty) and Lori Carraway ( Ronnie); cousins, Devon Ferguson (Jack), Connor Busbia,Kayleigh Fuller (Chase), Brenna Greif-Green (Jamie), William Greif Gabrielle), Theo Langston ( Kate), Steve Langston (Mary), Britney Langston and Alexandra Hansen; numerous relatives, as well as life long friends, fraternity brothers and coworkers at the Grand Marlin.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11:00am in the Ave Maria Hall adjacent to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. As we gather to celebrate Jack's life, guests are encouraged to wear casual coastal attire and colors inspired by the water, sunshine, and natural beauty he loved so much.
