Jack, a native of Pensacola died peacefully April 5, 2012 after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lillian Weller and brothers, George and Charles Weller. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alice Sherrill Weller; daughter, Debbie Turner and husband Hill of Pensacola; daughter, Diane Weller of Atlanta; daughter, Mary Alice Price and husband Tim of Pensacola; five grandsons, Richard Turner and wife Daisy, Harris Turner and wife Hillary, Jack Turner, Patrick Price and Hayden Price; one great-granddaughter, Virginia Lovelace Turner. Jack graduated from PHS, served in the US Army Military Police, then earned his degree at FSU where he was an SAE. He founded Colonial Insurance Company and continued to work in the industry for over 25 years. As a longtime member and elder of First Presbyterian Church, Jack served his church in many capacities. Among Jack's civic activities were founding member of the NW Florida American Diabetes Assn. Board, Past Treasurer of NW Florida Girl Scouts council, Rotary Club, Pensacola Sports Association and Pensacola Country Club. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow in the church parlor. Memorial gifts may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 33 East Gregory Street, Pensacola, FL 32502.
