Jacqueline Sue Morris, 61, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012. Jackie was born on March 1, 1951 and went to be with the Lord on May 21, 2012 at her home with family by her side after a long battle with cancer. She grew up in Pensacola and went to Pensacola Catholic High School and married her high school sweetheart of 44 years. She enjoyed camping, shopping and spending time with her family. Jackie was employed with the Escambia County Sheriffs office since 1994. She was with the Special Victims Unit. She was a devoted Catholic and attended the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Preceding her in death was her father, Carl Bowen; mother, Catherine Fuchs; sisters, Carylon and Joann and a granddaughter, Chelsey Hathaway. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bobby Morris; her five children, Bryan Morris (Veronica), Jason Morris (Maura), Amy Hathaway (Sean), April Guy (Paul) and Dawn Morris; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; sister, Diane Hemby (Ronnie); brother, Eddie Bowen; Judy Delmendo and Laura Norwood and special friend and boss Carol Turner along with numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 5-7pm with a Rosary being prayed at 5pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 10am from the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with Msgr. Stephen Bosso celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trevor Jackson, Zach Hathaway, Coty Chance, Tylor Cook, Randy Walden, Bubba Hemby, Jimmy Bass and Logan Walden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504. The family wishes to give special Thanks to Drs Dewey and Adelaida Torres, Dr. Thomas Tan and staff, Covenant Hospice and the Escambia County Sheriffs Office.
