James H. "Jimmy" Barberi, Sr., 87, of Pensacola, FL passed away Friday, September 25, 2026.

Jimmy was born in Pensacola, FL on December 9, 1938 to the late Bennie A. Barberi, Sr. and Catherine Falzone Barberi. He was raised in Pensacola and later joined the Air Force where he served in various locations before an honorable discharge. He returned to Pensacola and opened Barberi Radio & TV. He was an avid fisherman and loved being on the water. He had a green thumb and produced a fantastic garden every year.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Bennie A. Barberi, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Alyce Faye Barberi; two daughters, Ruby C. "Kitten" Nanney (Courtney) and Rebecca "Becce" Hamel (Dennis); two sons, James H. "Bubba" Barberi, Jr. (Elizabeth) and Timothy E. "Tim" Barberi; two sisters, Pat Beltrami, Teresa "Tee" Cassidy; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren to whom he was affectionately known as "Pops".

A memorial visitation will be held 12:00pm - 1:00pm Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Due to Hurricane Isaias, the graveside committal service will be postponed to a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jimmy's name may be made to the Children's Home Society of Florida, Greater Pensacola area.
