James Francis Brogan, III, age 69, of Pensacola, FL passed away Friday, April 24, 2015. James was born in Cambridge, MA on August 3, 1945. He attained his Bachelor's of Arts degree from Jacksonville University, a Master's of Arts degree from Boston State College and a Master's of Science degree from Boston University. James was a teacher with the Cambridge, MA City School Dept. and had also worked with Sun Life of Canada. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen and his father, James Brogan, Jr. His survivors include his sister, Ellen Batch and a nephew, Brian Batch both of Arlington, MA; his nieces, Elizabeth Batch and Amber Batch of Arlington, MA; a cousin, Sandy DeVita of Pensacola and his best friends, William Griebel and Rick Bradley both of Ocean Springs, MS. Visitation will be held at 9am Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Devito Funeral Home, 761 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown, MA with Funeral services beginning at 11am. Burial will follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Special thanks are given to the staff at The Health Center of Pensacola and to Gentiva Hospice. James was a sweet and caring person and was loved by all those whose life he touched.
