James Champion Brown, III, 66, of Pensacola, FL passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021.
He was born on February 6, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA to James Champion Brown, Jr. and Kathleen Hueber Brown. James joined the US Navy in 1972 as a Photographer's Mate and served honorably for 27 years. He earned his associates degree from Pensacola State College in Physical Therapy. He worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant at West Florida Hospital for 16 years. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. James volunteered as a basketball coach for over 15 years at St. John's Catholic School. He was happily married for 41 years to the love of his life, Concepcion "Connie" Brown. He loved watching his Philadelphia Sports teams, playing volleyball, participating in 5K and marathon races, and taking drives in his Tesla.
Survivors include his loving wife, Concepcion "Connie" Brown; son, Christopher Brown (Kimberly); daughter, Jennifer Boland (Christopher); mother, Kathleen Brown; father, James Brown, Jr.; four grandchildren, Gianna Brown, Quentin Brown, Charlie Boland, and Jaxson Boland; brother, John Brown; sisters, Mary Anne Brown, Kathleen Stricker, Susan McGarrity, Diane Alves, and JoAnne Madden; as well as 11 nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass will be held 10:00am Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 325 S. Navy Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32507, with Fr. John Licari celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
