James Crockett "Bubba" Henderson, 88, of Pensacola, was called home Thursday, July 11, 2019.

He was born April 18, 1931 in Pensacola, FL to the late Thomas and Elizabeth Henderson. James graduated from Pensacola High School in 1949 before enlisting in the US Navy from 1951-1955. He served over 30 years as a Pipefitter with Monsanto before retiring. He worked with Bill Keller at various construction and metal fabrication companies and ultimately retired from Escambia Welding & Fabrication, Inc.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and boating with his family and friends. James was a devoted family man and friend. His family was never left wondering how much they were loved and regarded him as the greatest father and grandfather they could ever have asked for.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Jean B. Henderson; son, Steve Henderson and his 9 siblings.

Survivors include his daughter, Dottie Henderson; sons, Scott (Leslie) Henderson and Keith Swank; granddaughter, Selena (Brandon) Weinman, and their children, Caleb, Jaxson and Kinsley; granddaughter, Kristen (Kenny) Sappington, and their children, Allie, Kade and Tori; granddaughter, Nicole (Jason) Stringer, and their children, Clayton and Braydon; grandson, Jessy (Hollie) Henderson, and their children, Nichole and Alex; granddaughter, Summer Henderson, and her children, Jada and Jasmine; and granddaughter, Lily Henderson (Mateo, Sr.), and their son Mateo, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of the Pensacola area.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the Funeral Service at 11:00am, Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504, with Chad Henderson and Chad Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Chad Henderson, Chad Williams, Jack Henderson, Russel Judkins, Tyler Judkins, Rusty Judkins, Brian Foxworth and Rick Baxter. Honorary Pallbearers are Ron Pugh, Harry Henderson, Bill Keller and Alan West.

The family offers special thanks to Paula and Jackie of Covenant Care Hospice. They offer special appreciation to the close friends and family who called and came to see Bubba on a regular basis, he loved you all dearly.
