James Alfred Gregg, 97, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Navarre Gardens.

James was born in Honesdale, PA to Ruswald and Alma Gregg on September 24, 1926. He was a graduate of Honesdale High School where he was an accomplished sportsman in numerous sports that he played. He was the Librarian at Honesdale High School. James was a lifetime member of the Honesdale Golf Club.

James is preceded in death by his first wife, Naomi Lilholt Gregg; second wife, Phyllis Jensen Gregg; brother, Richard Gregg; son, James Gregg; and granddaughter, Nicole.

He is survived by his son, Jeffrey of Deltona, FL; two daughters, Julie (Roger) of Navarre, FL and Janie (Robert) of Allentown, PA; grandchildren, Jason (Precious) of Deltona, FL, Erica (Cedric) of Queens, NY, Donald of Seattle, WA, Adam of Philadelphia, PA, and Naomi of Allentown, PA; and eight great grandchildren.

James had requested that his remains be gifted to an Anatomical School for studies.
