James "Jim" Henderson McCreary, 67, of Pensacola passed away Friday, September 23, 2016. He was born in Pensacola, FL on April 19, 1949 to Andrew and Annie Mae McCreary. He graduated from Pensacola High School and received undergraduate and advanced degrees from the University of South Alabama. In 1971 he married the love of his life, Suellen (Malone) McCreary from Pensacola. His occupations included working as a stockbroker, a custom home builder, and he retired as an inspector for the City of Pensacola.

Jim was known for his ribs and his excellent woodwork, his love of Auburn athletics and for his love of his family farm. While he enjoyed his hobbies, his true passion in life was his family. To truly know Jim you needed to spend time with him and his family at the McCreary farm.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dudley.

He is survived by his wife, Suellen McCreary from Pensacola, FL; his children, Dr. James McCreary, Jr. (Leah), Joseph McCreary (Anna) and Mollie Andrae (Chad) all from Pensacola, FL; his beloved grandchildren, Alexandra, Luke, Mollie Sue, Andrew and Nora and his brother, Andrew McCreary from Pensacola, FL.

Jim McCreary, our loving husband, father and grandfather was so loved and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 5-7pm Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel and a private family graveside service will be held with Dr. Barry Howard officiating.
