Jim received his angel wings on Thursday, December 20, 2012 when he lost his long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 19, 1950 in Welch, West Virginia to Hubert and Louise Kiser. After thirty years of service he retired from the Department of Defense earlier this year. He truly enjoyed his career as a Telecommunications Specialist. He traveled extensively while on assignments involving engineering and maintaining networks for the government. He was a devoted husband and father who always placed the needs of his family first. He was a loyal friend who was always willing to help. Jim enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved gardening and being outdoors. He enjoyed exploring the beautiful Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. He was a kind and gentle person who was loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Louise Kiser of Pensacola. Jim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ann Kiser; sons, Jonathan Kiser of Pensacola and Jason Kiser (Carolyn) of Roanoke, VA and granddaughter, Campbell Elizabeth Kiser; his brothers, Thomas Kiser (Carolyn) of Dothan, AL and Robert Kiser. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Thomas Tan and the caring staff at Covenant Hospice for the excellent care given to Jim. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Minister Preston Silcox officiating.
