Obituary

MSGT James Patrick Meagher, Ret, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 25, 2019, Pensacola, FL. Jim was born in New York City, NY and was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years Arva Louise Meagher.

Jim proudly served his country as a Retired Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force and was of the Catholic faith. He loved to travel and lived abroad for several years. He spoke several languages and was an avid tennis player and swimmer.

Those left to cherish his memory include a sister in law, Maurice Jacks, of Wesson MS, along with many nieces and nephews.

A grave side service to honor the life of MSGT James Patrick Meagher will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 29, 2019 at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola. Those wishing to attend are asked to arrive at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel by 12:00 PM Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM Friday until 12:30 PM prior to the graveside service.

The family will hold a Memorial Service at Azalea Trace from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM on Friday prior to receiving friends at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.

Military Honors will be accorded by the United States Air Force.
