James Edward Mitchell, IV, 48, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021.

He was born on June 1, 1973, in Pensacola, FL to James Edward Mitchell, III and Iva Dawn Mitchell. James served his country honorably in the US Navy during the Gulf War and ultimately retired from the Navy.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Iva Dawn Mitchell; sister, Dena Mitchell; as well as many other extended family members.

Visitation will be held 5-7pm Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be held 10:00am Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
