IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Irvin
Paulsen
October 24, 1953 – July 16, 2022
James "Scooter" Irvin Paulsen, age 68, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, Jill Paulsen; his daughter, Kimberly Shae Selvio (Lee); four amazing grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Cribbs and Pam Biggs; a brother, Pat Paulsen (Marty); several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Henry and Sarah Frances Paulsen.
Scooter was active in his youth, participating in the Boy Scouts and Demolays. He was a real go-getter, selling chocolate-covered insects as a boy and returning to the sales industry following three year of service in the U.S. Army, enlisting to fight in the Vietnam conflict. He went on to work in the Insurance industry, followed by meat sales and ending with air conditioning and ice machine equipment sales. He was medically retired approximately a decade ago and has been filling his time with his dog, Mia. He enjoyed going on adventures with his grandchildren on his Gator and keeping his mind active with computer games. He loved helping his wife pursue her passion for quilting, and thoroughly enjoyed time spent with family. Scooter was a true Patriot and loved all things American.
A celebration of Scooter's life will be held at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Mr. Richard Bigner, officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to the service Wednesday.
