IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Louis
Pitts
November 1, 1992 – July 10, 2017
HM3 James Louis Pitts, USN, 24, of Pensacola, FL passed away Monday, July 10, 2017.
James was born in Milton, FL and spent a lot of time between Pensacola and Orlando. He always had a knack for finding creative ways to entertain himself. Not only were we blessed with James, but he was blessed as well. He had two families that loved him dearly. He was very devoted to his Christian faith. James was always fond of his time in ROTC which led him later into joining the US Navy. He served 6 years active duty, honorably, until his passing. He loved his military family, being a Hospital Corpsman and working with fellow Navy and Marine personnel. He regularly talked about his plans for the future and how he looked forward to college and the next chapter in his military career. Outside of the military, James enjoyed gaming, long boarding and was always in search of an adventure. He was always the quiet, shy type until you got to know him. Then he was the class clown. It was really hard to get a regular smile on his face because he wanted to make everyone else laugh.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmy & Toni Pitts; grandmother, Mouzone; as well as grandparents, Herbert & Jackie Bingham.
Survivors include his mother, Kitty Andrew (Chris); a brother, Collin; his father, Jose Pitts (Connie); a brother, Lil Jose; a sister, Samantha; step-sister, Shannon and step-brother, Kurt.
Visitation will be held 12:30pm until the Funeral Service to begin at 1:30pm Friday, July 21, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Jeffrey A. Perry, LCDR, CHC officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with Navy Honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Semper Fi Fund or the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lt. Krupp, Lt. Deas, Chief Bridges and Master Chief Hinkle.
