James C. Speraw, age 68, of Crestview, FL, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021, in Pensacola, FL. James was born on December 2, 1952 to the late Stanley C. and Minnie Angel Speraw in Shreveport, LA.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosie Angel and a brother-in-law, David Johnson.

James C. Speraw was a retired from the United States Air Force after proudly serving his country from 1972 until 1992. He entered the Air Force in Oklahoma but also spent time in Iceland and Germany during his service.  James loved to spend his spare time fishing and wood working.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his son, James M. Speraw (Julie), of Crestview, FL; two daughters, Sandy Speraw and Mariesa Olmstead (Jerime), of Crestview, FL; a brother, Michael Speraw (Pamela); three sisters, Sheila Blain (Dale), Lisa Johnson, Tina Scott (Donnie); four grandchildren, Cody Higgins, Aaron Olmstead, Page Speraw and Piper Speraw; three great grandchildren, Frayah, Mason and Jaxon Olmstead. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 9:30am until 10:30am on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.

A graveside service will follow at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Barrancas National Cemetery, with Reverend Ken Griffin, officiating.  Military honors will be accorded by the United States Air Force and the funeral procession to the cemetery will be led by the Pensacola Police Department and the Patriot Guard.
