James Wardell Stone, 79, of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009. Mr. Stone was born in Blountstown, FL and moved to Pensacola as a child. He went to work at St. Regis Paper Mill where he later retired as an Engineer. He then went on to work as an Engineer at Stone Container of Pensacola until his second retirement. He was a very well respected engineer and a good friend to many. His hobbies included mullet fishing, making everyone as happy as he could and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Helen Stone; his four children, Charrise Stanfill (Tony), Allen Stone, James "Jimmy" Stone and Felicia Stone; his grandchildren, Tony Stanfill, Rachael Morris (Tanner), Heather Weekley, Kimberly Stone and James Robert Stone; one great-grandson, James Hill and one brother, Barnard Wendell Stone. Visitation will be held 5-7pm Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be held 1:00pm Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
