James R. Taylor, 93, of Pensacola, FL passed away Friday, July 25, 2014. Mr. Taylor was a well-respected and loved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and businessman. He had a heart of gold and helped countless people in their time of need. Mr. Taylor proudly served this nation during WWII as a sergeant in the United States Air Force, 15th Division. That service propelled him on to a very successful life. He was part owner of Trio Electric Supply Co., Inc. and Nutek Inc. Over the years he found joy in participating in Escambia Masonic Lodge #15, Scottish Rite, and York Rite. He was a charter member of the Hadji Shrine, where he participated in Hadji Caravan as part of the scooter unit and the motorcycle escort . Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his father, Lemone Taylor; mother, Annie Taylor; sister, Helen Work; and brothers J.L. Taylor and Rudolph Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Bea Taylor; daughter, Jeanette Williams; grandson, Andy Williams; and step-grandchildren, Darwin Williams, Nick Williams, and Dana Richardson. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 1:00p.m to 2:00p.m. at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will directly follow Visitation. Pastors Nick Williams and Connie Ragghianti will officiate and burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504 or the charity of your choice, in memory of James R. Taylor. The family extends a special thanks to Hospice nurse Marti Wells and to the Covenant Hospice Inpatient and Palliative Care Center at West Florida Hospital.
