Alice "Jane" Cole, 87, a retired Santa Rosa County Elementary school teacher and resident of Gulf Breeze, FL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
Jane was born in Tampa, FL on February 22, 1935, to John and Myrtle Noland. She graduated from Florida State with a degree in Elementary Education and later received her master's from the University of West Florida. On June 22, 1958, she married the love of her life, Hugh, and helped him pursue a degree in Pharmacy at the University of Mississippi. They later moved to Gulf Breeze, FL in the mid 60's, where they raised their 4 boys and daughter.
Jane loved the Lord and devoted her time playing the piano and organ at First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze. She shared a love and passion for music with her family and friends. Jane loved to travel with her husband and spent her retirement years in Lake Lure, NC where she was a devoted member of Chimney Rock Baptist ("Her adopted church").
Jane is survived by her husband of 64 years, Hugh; her sons, Scott, Steve, Mark, and Ken; her daughter, Janie Tillman; as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Myrtle Noland and her brother, Bob Noland.
Visitation will be held 5:00pm-7:00pm Friday, September 16, 2022, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504. A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Bayview Memorial Park.
