Obituary

Jane Smith Pace, 90, a resident of Germantown, TN passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Tuesday, December 22, 2015.

She was born August 29, 1925 in Watertown, NY to the late Earle and Kathleen Smith. In her early adult life she moved to Pensacola, FL where she resided most of her life. She was a kindergarten teacher, registered nurse and homemaker. Jane enjoyed competitive tennis, she was a fierce bridge player and enjoyed ballroom dancing. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Pace Jr., brothers, Gordon Smith, Stanley Smith and sister, Estelle Langseth.

Jane is survived by son, Stephen M. Pace (Brenda) of Fayetteville, GA; daughter, Janie Pace Clark (Tal) of Germantown, TN and grandchildren, Pace Clark, Peyton Clark and Haleigh Pace; also a brother, Robert Smith of Clearwater, FL.

Visitation will be held from 10-11am Monday, December 28, 2015 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Graveside service will be held immediately following at 11:30am at Bayview Memorial Park with Rev. Scott Grantland officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or the charity of their choice.

Special thanks to Elizabeth Degnan for loving our mom and the special care she provided this past year. Thank you also to Methodist Hospice for their guidance and support.
