Obituary

Jane Marie Oleinik Thompson, one of nine children, was a spiritual woman born on November 24, 1929 to Jane and Joseph Flournoy Oleinik in Washington D.C., where she attended the Immaculate Conception Academy and became a highly-skilled typist.

Jane then went on to work as a medical transcriptionist before dedicating her life as a beloved wife and devoted mother to four sons and two daughters.

Jane was a widow of the late Amos Laney Thompson, a 23-year U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II.

Jane passed away peacefully on March 25, 2021 surrounded by family and is survived and loved by her six children and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

If desired, friends and family may, in lieu of flowers, make memorial contributions in Jane Marie Thompson's name to the Covenant Care Center for Hospice Care at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.
