Janet Ann Melcher, age 70, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, July 11, 2022. Janet was born in Detroit, MI. to the late Frederick A. and Joan J. Watson Jones. In addition to her parents Janet is preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Smith. She was a resident of Pensacola, FL. and a former resident of Boca Raton, FL. and Opelika, AL.

Janet was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and was of the Lutheran faith. She served as a former secretary of her church and was the owner/operator of Yarnhouse Studio. Janet loved knitting and crafts of all sorts and cats. She had a big heart and would take in anyone who needed a "Mom". She enjoyed nature, camping and being outdoors.

Those left to cherish Janet Ann Melchers' memory included her devoted husband, John Melcher, of Pensacola, FL.; a daughter, Jennifer Melcher, of Pensacola, FL.; a son, Patrick Melcher, of Orlando, FL.; a brother, Don Jones, of MI.; a sister, Debra Watkins, of AL; Nieces, nephews and a number of "Kids" all over the country she took in over the years also survive.
