Janie Harrison Basso, age 87, of Milton, F.L., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 9, 2020, in Gulf Breeze, F.L. Janie was born to the late William Emelius and Katie Vashti Harrison on October 24, 1933, in Justice, N.C. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Lindsay Harrison; a nephew, Michael Harrison; a grandson, Trevor Basso. Janie was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, walking and spending time outdoors, playing cards and above all she loved to spend time with her family and friends. She worked as Secretary to the director of the Department of Social Services, in Greenville, S.C. She also spent time as a member of the Lions Club of Dacusville, S.C., the Bible Study Group, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Senior Citizen Exercise Group, in Easlay, S.C., and a member of St. Rose, Of Lima Catholic Church, in Milton, F.L.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her loving husband, Joseph Basso, of Milton, F.L.; two sons, Eddie Basso (Carol), of Coppell, T.X., Joey Basso (Amy), of Greer, S.C.; two daughters, Susan Hall (John), of Sanford, N.C., Linda Ormanoski (Jim), of Milton, F.L.; six grandchildren, Taylor, Justin, Jordon, Jeremy, Tanner and Bailey.
