Janis "Jan" A. Price, 82, of Pensacola, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Covenant Hospice Inpatient and Palliative Care Center at West Florida Hospital surrounded by her family. Jan was born in Fort Worth, TX on October 19, 1940.
Jan was a loving, mother, and grandmother. She was employed at Bonded Transportation, an agent for Allied Van Lines for over 30 years, where she held several positions. She retired in February 2008. Jan was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed watching and attending games with her sons. As a boy mom, she enjoyed sports in general and was a member of the Woman's auxiliary group at Northeast Pensacola ballpark, where she organized fund raisers, assisted with the concession stand, coordinated tournament activities, etc. She was most passionate about her family and her close relationships with her friends. Jan had a warm, inviting, and dynamic personality that would make those around her feel welcome and loved. She enjoyed listening to music, especially old Baptist hymns and the country genre, such as, Conway Twitty, George Jones, and Freddie Fender, just to name a few.
She was a member of Floridatown Baptist Church in Pace, FL where she served in the nursery.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence "Pat" and Johnnie Marie Patterson; brother, Sidney Jones; two sisters, Donna Owen and Beverly Womack, and former husband, James Samuel Price.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her nephew, Michael Womack; her sons, Patrick Price (Anna) of Pace, FL, Sean Price, of Pass Christian, MS and Jason Price (Tammy), of Pensacola, FL; brother, Charles Patterson of Holley/Navarre, FL; grandchildren, Michael Price of Austin, TX, Brittany Price of Pensacola, FL, Randy Price of Pace FL, Britly Maynard (Tyler) of Pensacola, FL, Breana Ketter (Justin) of San Diego, CA, Holly Price of Rockport, TX, Jacob Price of Pace, FL, Hunter Price of Warner Robins, GA, Collin Miller of Pensacola, FL, Emma Miller of Pensacola, FL and Xavier Miller of Pensacola, FL; great grandchildren, Carter, Riley, Mia, Daniel and Liam and a host of nephews, nieces and special friends.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the Celebration of Life Service begins at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wesley Alverez officiating. Committal will follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be: Randy Goforth, Michael Price, Randy Price, Jacob Price, Collin Miller, and Xavier Miller. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Faulk, Dirk Price, Randy Faulk, and Trevor Morris.

The family would like to thank Victorian Manor, Pace, FL, Arcadia Health and Rehabilitation, Pensacola, FL., West Florida Hospital, Pensacola, FL and Covenant Hospice Inpatient and Palliative Care Center for Hospice Care at West Florida Hospital for the professional care, loving compassion, and attention they showed our mother and our family during the final stage of her life.
