Jarrod Scott Lycus, 23, a native of Pensacola, FL passed away Friday January 31, 2014 in Nashville, TN. Jarrod graduated from Pensacola Catholic High School in 2009 and worked at Fidos in Nashville. Jarrod had a passion for life and for family and friends, openly showing his love and affection through the beautiful pictures and messages he regularly sent and Jarrod loved motorcycles and music. He saw beauty in everyone, often stopping to speak with strangers simply to share their thoughts, experiences and passions. He was most often seen with his family or friends or venturing into beautiful areas riding his Harley Davidson. A deeply caring person, Jarrod always made time to help others or to care for animals in need. He took time to notice and appreciate the simple, beautiful things in life and to think about these as he shared his experiences and love with everyone around him. Jarrod is survived by his loving mother, Mary Partridge Lycus of Pensacola; his loving father, Zygmond S. Lycus of Pensacola; his loving sister, Ashley Lycus and loving brother, Ross Lycus, PFC, U.S. Army. Visitation and a Rosary will be held 6-8pm Tuesday February 4, 2014 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel in Pensacola. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am Wednesday February 5, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Committal Services will be follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dru Hansford, Andy Sokol, Joey Sokol, Trevor Mayo, Josh Starbuck and Jeremy Miles. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Make-A-Wish Foundation or the charity special to your life.
