Jason Earl Buckley, 44, of Destin, FL passed away on January 20, 2020 .

Jason was born in Portland, Jamaica. He is the son of the late Granville Buckley and Jean Thomas (Germany)

He attended Happy Grove High School. He worked at his trade of Cabinetry in Jamaica, and then migrated to the United States to continue his trade. He loved soccer and bike riding. Jason loved building things and helping neighbors and especially family. He adored his children and spending time with them. He cherished his wife. Many friends and family called him "Jason Pate". He was one of the youngest. He loved traveling back and forth to his home in Jamaica. He was supported, loved and admired from his family and friends.

Jason leaves behind his mom, Jean Thomas; adopted mother Elizabeth Buckley, which he affectionately referred to as mom; patient, faithful and high school sweetheart, Anecha Dormer-Buckley; sons, Dante and Nathan; daughters, Kayleigh and Savannah; nine brothers; eleven sisters and a host of nieces and nephews plus many friends.

Visitation will be held 1:00pm until the funeral service begins at 2:00pm Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Destin Life Church (formerly Destin Assembly of God), 726 Legion Dr. Destin, FL 32541.
