Jay M. Golson loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016.
Jay was born on June 7, 1935 in Pensacola and was a life-long resident. He worked for the City of Pensacola in the gas department from July 16, 1956 through November 1, 2002. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, football, as well as numerous other sports. Jay also enjoyed a little gambling whether it be slot machines, the dogs or just scratching tickets.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wyatte and Etta Golson; his brothers, Bub and Ben Golson and sisters, Mary Mitchell and Boots Golson; as well as his granddaughter, Gina Andrews.
He is survived by his children, Tami Niedbala, Linda Golson, Mike Golson, Sherry Pahl and Kim Cochran; grandsons, Joey Irwin, Michael Golson and Brandon Cochran; granddaughters, Shaunie Rotolo and Summer Golson; 7 great-grandchildren; as well as his sisters, Eva Mitchell and Peggy Peeterse; and
sister-in-law, Helen Golson.

Visitation will be held 5-7pm Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with a rosary to be prayed at 5pm. Funeral Service will be held 11:00am Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Fr. Kevin McQuone officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
