Jay W. SKI Olschewske, 74, a resident of Pensacola passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009. He proudly served the United States Navy for 20 years. He and his wife moved to Pensacola where they raised their children and continued living until his death. After leaving the Navy, Ski worked various jobs before he entered Civil Service; where he retired in 2000. Ski had a great love for many things. His passions included bowling as well as watching and attending all sporting events. But his main passion always remained his family; especially his grandchildren. Ski is survived by his wife Peggy of 43 years and their daughter, Traci Bensley, his son-in-law Danny and their three children; Cameron, Braedon & Aaron. Also, his son, Roger Olschewske, his daughter-in- law Stacey and their daughter, Cianna. An additional survivor, is Skis younger brother, Jesse Olschewske, of New York. Family visitation will be at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 3:30pm immediately followed by a memorial service at 4:30pm, with Rev. Ken Griffin officiating.
