Jean Ann Boenitz, 92, of Milton, FL passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Forsyth House.
She was born August 11, 1924, in Oak Park, IL to Edward and Anna Laube. She married Kenneth D. Boenitz, August 27, 1949. They were married for 57 years until his death in 2006.
Surviving are her two daughters, Patricia Ann Hayne (Chuck) of Pace, FL and Judy Louise Burkhart (Cliff) of Pace, FL; five grandchildren, Lela Erskine (Aaron) of Milton, FL, Lynn Rogers Green (Cory) of Pace, FL, Rachel Ann Davis (Bradley) of Republic, MO, Taylor Burkhart of Pace, FL and Katelyn Burkhart of Pace, FL; five great-grandchildren, Hannah Rogers, Hayden Rogers, Hallie Rogers, Matthew Erskine and Jake Erskine.
After graduating from high school, Jean went to work for the U. S. government and then became a homemaker after she married. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. One of her favorite hobbies was gardening. After her husband's retirement, they did extensive traveling around the world.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 5–7pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, March 10, 2017 at 9:30am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with burial following at Barrancas National Cemetery at 11:00am. Pastor Larry Anderson from St. Luke United Methodist Church will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1394 East 9 Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32514.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Forsyth House and Regency Hospice for all the special care and compassion that they gave our precious mother.
