Jeane R. Storey, beloved mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the age of 103.

Mrs. Storey was born November 2, 1919, in Penns Grove, New Jersey, and was the youngest of 5 siblings.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Tommy, Willard, Josephine, and Olive; her husband, Walter Laurence; and by her son, Laurence (Gladys).

She leaves behind a daughter, Donna; five grandchildren, Laurence, Jr. (Jeannie), Robert (LeAnne), Donald, Jennifer, and Laura (Doug); seven great grandchildren, Laurence the Third, Kyle, Stephanie, Samantha, Sarah, Nicole, Jamie, and Donald, Jr; four great-great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Storey traveled the world with her husband and her children throughout the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s as Mr. Storey served his country in the Army and then later in the Civil Service. She enjoyed gardening and flower arrangement, as well as reading, music, sewing, and working crossword puzzles. She also greatly enjoyed playing puzzle games of cards and riddles on her computer. She was a doting mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family. She lovingly handmade many of her children's clothes as well as her grandchildren's Halloween costumes and countless dolls and doll clothes for their enjoyment. Mrs. Storey was a kind and giving person who supported St. Jude Children's Hospital as well as many other charities. She had a sharp wit, a playful sense of humor, and always spoke the truth. She had a strong Christian faith, and once said that her best friend was Jesus, and the two things in her life she was proudest of were her son and her daughter.

Mrs. Storey will be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery. True to form, she requested no service or ceremony.
