Jean "Jeanie" Therese Alexander, 96, of Pensacola, FL entered Heaven's gates on Saturday, July 17, 2021.

Jeanie was born on July 8, 1925, where she entered her beautiful world. She was one of six children and the only girl. Her mom always told her, she was the queen of their home and still was until the day she left us. Jeanie lost her mom at age 14. She had to quit school to care for her father and five brothers. On April 19, 1942, our mom met the love of her life, our dad, Wilson McK Alexander where they began their love affair for life and married on May 22, 1943. They were amazing to God's calling on their lives. Raising six children, Woody (Barbara), Deek (Trish), Teddy (Jan), Robyn (Claude), Laurie (Mike), and Kevin; 16 beautiful grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. To say that our Mom/Nonnie/Grandma was the life of the party, is an understatement. Mom was a lady and loved to include anyone who needed a "second family". She was poised, had so much wisdom to share and taught each of us to love, outside of ourselves. Mom was accomplished with family and in the people business. An accolade of her perseverance is that in 1976 mom received her high school diploma, the same year as her daughter, Robyn. We have always been so proud of her. We have a definite void in our family that time will most likely never fill. We love you Mama/Nonnie/Grandma.

Visitation will be held 6-8pm Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Family will also receive friends at 10:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:00am Friday, July 23, 2021, at St. Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
